** Service coverage is available only for covered devices and their original included accessories for protection against (i) batteries that retain less than 80% of their original capacity and (ii) unlimited incidents of accidental damage. Accidental damage means physical damage from handling due to unexpected and unintentional events. Replacement equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service may contain new or previously used genuine Apple parts that have been tested and pass Apple functional requirements. Each incident of accidental damage protection is subject to a service fee. If you have a plan with theft and loss coverage, each incident of theft or loss is subject to a service fee. For complete details, see the Terms and Conditions(Opens in a new window).

Service coverage is provided under the Terms and Conditions of your AppleCare plan applicable to your country or region. Service coverage outside the country of purchase of your AppleCare plan is not guaranteed. The availability and type of service option may vary depending on your device model, applicable local laws, regulations, and legal requirements, and the capabilities of Apple Authorised Service Providers in the location where service is requested. Some service options may not be available in all areas. If service is available and repair is possible, Apple may, at its discretion, offer to repair or replace your device using locally sourced models or parts that meet local standards and regulations, which may differ from the original device in terms of colour and/or specifications. Availability of international replacement for lost or stolen devices is not guaranteed and is subject to availability and may vary by region, model and device configuration. For details, please review the Terms and Conditions(Opens in a new window).

For a complete list of all AppleCare fees, click here(Opens in a new window). Separate charges apply to each repair or replacement performed.

Express Replacement Service (“ERS”) is subject to availability, capability and local law at the time you seek service. Certain service options may not be available in locations where applicable laws, regulations or legal requirements restrict or prohibit the shipment, transportation, importation, exportation or return of devices, or otherwise prohibit the service option. ERS for Hardware Coverage for Accidental Damage to the Covered Equipment (excluding Included Accessories) is always subject to the Other Accidental Damage service fee and not the Screen-Only or Back Glass-Only service fees. If your device is replaced with Express Replacement Service, the original product becomes Apple’s property. The replacement product is your property and becomes the Covered Equipment. You are responsible for backing up all software programs, data and passwords residing on your original device.

AIG Insurance New Zealand Limited has authorised Apple Sales New Zealand to handle any claims you may have for accidental damage from handling.

Spatial Audio works with compatible content in supported apps on HomePod (2nd generation) and HomePod (1st generation). Not all content is available in Dolby Atmos. Requires Apple TV 4K. Apple TV 4K sold separately.
Creating a HomePod stereo pair requires two of the same model and generation of HomePod speakers, such as two HomePod mini 2 or two HomePod (2nd generation).
Requires multiple HomePod or HomePod mini speakers with the latest operating system, or AirPlay-compatible speakers with the latest version of AirPlay, and an iOS device with the latest operating system.
Home theater surround sound requires four HomePod mini 2 or HomePod (2nd generation) speakers in matching pairs (front and rear) and paired with Apple TV 4K (4th generation) running the latest operating system software.
Sound Recognition may detect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds and send you notifications when recognised. Sound Recognition should not be relied upon in circumstances where you may be harmed or injured, or in high-risk or emergency situations. Sound Recognition requires the updated Home architecture, which is available as a separate update in the Home app. It requires all Apple devices that access the home to be using the latest software.
Temperature and humidity sensing is optimised for indoor, domestic settings, when ambient temperatures are around 15℃ to 30℃ and relative humidity is around 30% to 70%. Accuracy may decrease in some situations where audio is playing for an extended period of time at high volume levels. HomePod requires some time to calibrate the sensors immediately after starting up, before results are displayed.
